A Five-Class Series: Become Part of the Climate Solution!

Climate change can feel like an overwhelming problem, but there are some simple actions that anyone can do to help combat it, making one’s household and community greener, safer and more resilient. In this five-session course, participants will go on a “low carbon” diet to reduce at least 5,000 lbs. of CO2 in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Participants will learn ways to reduce their carbon emissions and save money by trimming energy and waste, conserving water and driving smarter.

The course will be conducted by the Resilient Neighborhoods program, which has helped 650 Marin residents reduce more than 2.8 million pounds of carbon emissions. It will be beneficial to people who are just beginning to think about their carbon footprint as well as those who have already made a commitment to sustainable living. Sessions will be held in the Creekside room from 7-9 pm on 1/26, 2/9, 2/23, 3/9 and 3/23. Participants must commit to attending all five sessions and have access to their utility bills and a computer.
