Camino Alto South End Bike Lanes Project

Project Summary

The proposed project involves the addition of Class II bike lanes on Camino Alto between Miller Avenue and E Blithedale Avenue, as well as signal hardware upgrades at the four signalized intersections along this corridor. The proposed improvements are identified in the City’s 2008 Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plan and include the following components: 

  • Installation of Class II bike lanes along Camino Alto between Miller and E Blithedale Avenues including the performance of a parking impact study on Camino Alto southbound direction. 
  • Installation of Traffic Signal Upgrades at signalized intersections along Camino Alto between Miller and E Blithedale Avenues including replacement of traffic signal heads, LED lights and visors, accessible pedestrian/bicycle push buttons and optical bike detectors or in-pavement bicycle loop detectors.
