Scam Notification from the Mill Valley Police Department

The Mill Valley Police Department has received reports of a scam letter that is being mailed out to its residents.  The sender is targeting a married man, suggesting that they have unspecified evidence of his "misbehavior" and threatens to humiliate his family and friends.  To avoid having the secret publicly revealed, the victim is ordered to pay a certain amount of money via Bitcoin. 

If you, or someone you know receives a similar letter do NOT send any money, shred the letter, and throw it away.  If money has been sent, please call the Mill Valley Police Department to make a report at (415) 389-4100.
