After Hours: The Virility Paradox with Dr. Charles Ryan

Testosterone helps us survive, strive and evolve. It can also make us violent, selfish and impulsive. Ryan (UCSF researcher/physician) discusses his new book, The Virility Paradox, taking us through a scientific and philosophical look into the complex and changing role of this hormone in our bodies, brain and society.

Dr. Charles J. Ryan is the Thomas Perkins Distinguished Professor of Clinical Medicine and Urology at the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCSF. He has published over 150 scholarly works on hormonal and other treatments for prostate cancer and is internationally known for his work on the development of new therapies for the disease.
