This event is a collaborative partnership between the Mill Valley Public Library and Write On Mamas.
Dr. Nisha Zenoff, author of The Unspeakable Loss: How Do You Live After a Child Dies?, will be in conversation with Write on Mama Laurel Hilton.
After the sudden death of her seventeen-year-old son in a hiking accident, Dr. Zenoff questioned whether life could be worth living again. She vowed that if she lived through the loss, she would learn as much as possible about how other bereaved parents found their way. Thirty-seven years later, The Unspeakable Loss: How Do You Live After a Child Dies? is Zenoff’s answer. Drawing on the collective wisdom and stories from parents and family members she interviewed for her book, and her own experience, Nisha provides support and guidance for parents experiencing the death of a child so that they can learn to embrace life again.
Dr. Nisha Zenoff holds a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology and has worked with numerous community organizations including Bereaved Parents of the USA and Sandy Hook Promise. Dr. Zenoff is co-leader of the Marin chapter of The Compassionate Friends.
