The Mill Valley Arts Commission will host FREE outdoor concerts on the Downtown Plaza on each Sunday in August from 2pm-5:30pm. Concerts will include performances from at least 2 musical artists/groups.
Concerts will be held on the Mill Valley Downtown Plaza, which is a public open-air Plaza in the City center surrounded by local retail shops and restaurants. Sound system, audio technician and event publicity will be provided by the Arts Commission.
Each selected artist/group will receive a $500 payment on the day of the concert.
All interested musical artists are encouraged to apply. Performers need to be able to play at least one 60-90 minute set. Please note that in order to provide the widest opportunity for local musicians, those performers who participated in the 2018 Concerts on the Plaza will not be eligible for the 2019 series.
To participate in the Call for Musical Artists please complete the online Musical Artist Submission Form and pay a $20 submission fee by Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 5pm.
Once your submission form and payment is processed you will receive an email from email@example.com with upload instructions to send in at least 3 of your musical selections.
Submission information and music samples will be accepted via online application and music upload process ONLY.
All musical submissions will be reviewed and the Arts Commission will select musicians to perform in the Concerts in the Plaza series at their March 12, 2019 meeting and results will be released by the end of March 2019.
