Mill Valley Middle School - News

The Mill Valley Police Department continues to work with Mill Valley Middle School administrators and staff to address concerns related to the April 30, 2019 discovery of unused bullets on the Middle School campus. Since the incident, Mill Valley Police have had a constant presence at the Middle School during school hours and are working with school officials to further the investigation.

At this time, we want to reassure the community that the school administration and law enforcement continue to work together to investigate any and all leads and/or allegations related to any safety threats made toward the school and/or community.

In order to protect the investigations and the individuals involved, law enforcement and school officials are limited in their ability to share additional information about this situation. We thank you for your cooperation and patience as the investigation continues. As information becomes available we will provide updates accordingly.

The City of Mill Valley, Mill Valley School District and all of our community partners take school violence seriously. We encourage parents to talk with their children about this incident, inform them of the seriousness of any threats of violent behavior. The Mill Valley Middle School will continue to have counselors available to address any concerns brought forward by students to support their sense of safety and well-being.
