Planning Commission to Host a Study Session to Discuss New Accessory Dwelling Unit Regulations and Other Zoning Code Updates

On February 11, 2020, Planning Commission will host a Study Session to discuss new State Law regulating Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Junior ADUs that became effective January 1, 2020. The purpose of the Study Session is to review the new State regulations contained in the City’s temporary, interim ADU Ordinance and provide input on additional refinements that may be required to the City’s development standards (contained in Mill Valley Municipal Code Title 20 "Zoning") given the new state regulations. 

 

The Study Session will be held in Council Chambers at Mill Valley City Hall, 26 Corte Madera Avenue on February 11, 2020 at 7pm.  To provide comments for the Study Session, contact Danielle Staude, Mill Valley Senior Planner at (415) 388-4033 or dstaude@cityofmillvalley.org.

Next Steps: Based on feedback and direction received at the Study Session, Planning Staff will prepare a Draft Ordinance to update the City's Zoning Code for further review and comment.
