Dear Mill Valley Parents,
The City of Mill Valley has received many messages of concern from community members who have observed children, especially teenagers, congregating around Mill Valley during the Shelter in Place order. We have had to shut down the Skate Park today for this reason.
We know everyone is doing their best under these trying circumstances and in our community it is not uncommon to allow your teens some freedom and independence. However, these are not common times, and we all need to take the threat of COVID-19 seriously.
For the health of your children, our senior population, and those that have health concerns, you must (and your children must) comply with the Public Health Order:
These measures may feel extreme, but they are critical to protect our loved ones and neighbors.
You will see our Mill Valley Police Department out and about reminding gatherings of individuals to disperse and to comply with the Public Health Order. If we work together, we can reduce the spread of the coronavirus and save lives. But we must maintain social distancing and stay at home.
We need everyone’s help and cooperation right now to reduce the spread of the virus.
