2020 Annual Pavement Rehabilitation - Notice of Roadway Construction

Per the approved Five-year Pavement Plan, Maggiora & Ghilotti, Inc will begin construction on the above project on Monday, May 11, 2020. Improvements will include the construction of new curb ramps, full-width grind and replacement of the roadway pavement, additional pavement subgrade repairs, installation of roadway traffic signs, and restriping.

POJECT FUNDING:

The 2020 Pavement Rehabilitation Project is part of the City’s annual program that focuses on the rehabilitation and maintenance of streets. It is funded through the Municipal Service Tax, Gas Tax, Measure A ½-Cent Sales Tax, and the Road Impact Fees.

 

SCHEDULE:

Construction will begin on May 11, 2020, and is expected to be completed by the end of August 2020.

Concrete curb ramp improvements and lowering of existing utility covers in the street will be done before paving operation, and adjusting the utility covers and restriping the road will occur after the paving duration shown.

Work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Changes will be posted on City Website and the ROAD CLOSURE signs at each end of the workday.

TRAFFIC CONTROL:

The contractor will be providing public notices to all property owners in advance.

Full-Width Road Closures will be required during work hours for the paving operations. Roads will be closed to all vehicle traffic on grinding and paving days, access will be limited to local traffic.

Residents are advised to park outside of the area on paving days. These days will be posted to the city website as the dates are finalized. No Parking Signs will be posted 48 hours in advance of the work.

 

EMERGENCY ACCESS:

The work will not affect emergency vehicles or disabled access at any time. Do not hesitate to call 911 if you require emergency assistance.
