The Miller Avenue Streetscape Project is an 18-month construction project to repair infrastructure and improve multi-modal use of Miller Avenue, including addressing safety for pedestrians and bicyclists of all ages and abilities,providing better transit access, and improving motorist safety.
Construction began the week of June 13, 2016 and will continue through Fall2017. Please note that all construction schedules are subject to change due toweather restrictions and other unforeseen delays.

What happened last week:
The contractor continued to place concrete sidewalks and driveways along the north side of Miller Avenue between Valley Circle and the public parking lot across from Whole Foods Market.Work crews continued to install electrical and irrigation systems, to grade the soil and to place concrete for sidewalks between La Goma Street and Locust Avenue. The contractor continued to install sewer laterals and cleanouts along both sides of Miller Avenue between Willow Street and Valley Circle. Work crews barricaded and did demolition on Miller Avenue between La Goma Street and Evergreen Avenue.
What is happening this week:
The contractor is doing paving on and around driveways on Miller Avenue between Valley Circle and the public parking lot across from Whole Foods Market. Work crews are installing the dual 30-inch elliptical storm drain pipe and 42-inch storm drain pipe, as well as the storm drain vault and manhole. The contractor is placing concrete sidewalk along the north side of Miller Avenue between La Goma Street and Locust Avenue. Work crews are installing sewer laterals, cleanouts and manholes along both sides of Miller Avenue between Willow Street and Valley Circle. The contractor is grading the soil, installing irrigation and electrical systems and placing concrete on Miller Avenue between La Goma Street and the public parking lot across from Whole Foods Market.
What to expect in the next few weeks:
Work crews will resume installing the dual 30-inch elliptical storm drain pipe and 42-inch storm drain pipe, as well as the storm drain vault and manhole. The contractor will install sewer laterals, cleanouts and manholes along both sides of Miller Avenue between Willow Street and Valley Circle. Work crews will continue to grade soils,install electrical and irrigation systems and place concrete between La Goma Street and the public parking lot across from Whole Foods Market.

City and Construction Management staff are making every effort to mitigate impacts during construction and are working with the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce to notify local businesses and residents of the planned work. City and Construction Management staff will provide regular updates to the community regarding the project.
