What happened last week:
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the contractor had a short work week. Work crews encased the sewer service laterals in concrete in both the Parkway Room between Millwood Street and Park Avenue and in the Passage area near downtown. The contractor used grout to seal the joints of the sewer service lines at a variety of locations on Miller Avenue. Work crews placed new concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks along the south side of Miller Avenue from the Chevron station across the street from Locust Avenue down to the intersection at Montford Avenue.
What is happening this week:
The contractor is installing sewer service laterals in the Gateway area between Reed Street and Camino Alto, and continues to use grout to seal the joints of the sewer service lines at a variety of locations on Miller Avenue. Work crews continue to place the final stretch of concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters along the south side of Miller Avenue at Montford Avenue near Jiffy Lube. The landscape contractor is excavating the new planter boxes along the north side of Miller Avenue and placing new planting soil in preparation for the new tree boxes that will be placed at a future date.
What to expect in the next few weeks:
