When driving, you will notice that turning onto some of the side streets has changed. The new turning radii and bulb outs allow for accessible sidewalk ramps, additional landscaping areas, shorter pedestrian crossing areas, and help guide and calm vehicle traffic.
Through the planning process, the neighborhoods adjacent to Miller Avenue requested that access into the neighborhood be slowed down. These safety improvements result in a different turning radius for vehicles. Once Miller Avenue is paved new striping will be placed, adding a bicycle and bike buffer lanes, clarifying and adjusting the lane alignments, which will facilitate turning onto and off of the side streets. In the meantime, please continue to use caution and travel at speeds that will allow you to negotiate the conditions.
