The Mill Valley Police Department has partnered with the Mill Valley Middle School to make our campuses safer for everyone in the community. Together, we have implemented a restorative program for students that addresses the impact of their actions and works to repair harm. The program reduces suspensions, allows children to build problem-solving skills, and teaches empathy. The department continually seeks ways to repair and prevent harm in our community. Recently, staff from both MVMS and the MVPD participated in an anti-bias training, hosted by the Marin County Office of Education. To learn about the anti-bias training, read the Marin IJ's article about the event.
