Evacuation Drill Offers the Community a Glimpse at Life After an Emergency Evacuation

Saturday, May 20th, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Tamalpais High School

How does the Red Cross create emergency shelter in the case of an evacuation? What type of food is served in an evacuation center? When will power be restored to communities devastated by a wildfire? What can you do to ensure the safety of your family and pets? How can you stop bleeding if a family member is injured?

Join the City of Mill Valley, Southern Marin Fire District, Marin County Sheriff’s Office, and our community emergency partners for our 10th Annual Evacuation Drill on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Tamalpais High School to learn the answer to these questions and more.

Every year the City of Mill Valley hosts a coordinated the evacuation drill of specific neighborhoods within a Mutual Threat Zone while simultaneously conducting training exercises with local public safety agencies.
