Miller Avenue Construction Update - Week of June 19-23, 2017

What happened last week:
The Contractor continues underground work on electrical and irrigation systems. Concrete removal in the Parkway (Millwood to Willow) has started and will continue for several weeks. Work crews will lower utility manholes in the Mainstreet (Willow to Valley Circle/Reed) in preparation for the upcoming roadway paving work.

What is happening this week:
Contractors will install the wood finishing, and roof for the bus shelter this week. Work crews will continue roadway grinding and removal of underground concrete structures for outbound Miller in the Mainstreet area.

What to expect in the next few weeks:
The contractor will continue roadway grinding and removal of underground concrete structures, for outbound Miller in the Mainstreet area. Night operations for asphalt pulverization will begin the evening of July 9th and continue for two weeks - one week for outbound, and one week for inbound.

NOTE: All dates and work schedules are subject to change.


The City recommends that motorists:
  •  Add time to your trip and plan ahead
  • Drive slowly through the construction zone.
  • Please be courteous to your neighbors and do not to cut through the residential side streets during the construction period.

City and Construction Management staff are making every effort to mitigate impacts during construction and are working with the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce to notify local businesses and residents of the planned work. City and Construction Management staff will provide regular updates to the community regarding the project.
