On August 1st, 2023, the Mill Valley Police Department hosted their annual National Night Out event at the Depot Plaza. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It enhances the relationship between residents and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. The event received hundreds of Mill Valley residents and visitors, where they were able to meet the local law enforcement and local government. MVPD was joined by our partners: the Emergency Preparedness Committee, Planning and Building Department, Department of Public Works, Parks and Recreation Department, and the Fire Department. On top of that, we had local participating partners like: the American Red Cross, Marin Search and Rescue, Tam Bikes, B12 Love, and last but not least, Bobs Donuts made an appearance. On top of community engagement, residents and visitors were able to play games, receive goodies, and even hamburgers and hotdogs prepared by MVPD staff.
