Work is underway to rehabilitate the roadway, giving the community a better driving surface, as well as repairing the aging sewer system to provide better sewage flows for residences and businesses.
Congratulations to Mill Valley graduates! To help with traffic flow during graduation ceremonies, there are no road closures on East Blithedale Avenue on June 9, 2022!
Work hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm. When work is near Park Elementary School between East Dr. and Alta Vista Ave, the work hours are 9:00 am – 3:00 pm while school is in session. Nighttime working hours are from 7:00 pm – 6:00 am.
New Permanent Traffic Pattern Change (Ashford / Meadow):
Starting Thursday, June 16, 2022: The slip lane into Ashford Avenue from westbound Blithedale Avenue will be restricted to bikes and emergency vehicles only.
New Bike Facilities on East Blithedale Avenue:
- Eastbound direction from Roque Moraes Drive to Kipling Drive
- Westbound direction from Tower drive to Ashford Avenue
Construction Roadway Closure Notice:
Sunnyside Avenue Paving (East Blithedale Ave to Miller Ave)
Wednesday 6/14/2022 (8:00AM to 5:00PM) and Thursday 6/15/2022 (8:00AM to 4:00PM)
Argonaut Constructors will be grinding and overlaying Sunnyside Ave from East Blithedale Avenue to Miller Avenue. This work require roadway closure and traffic detour.
To help make it easier to enjoy and support downtown businesses, there will be free parking during the roadway closures along East Blithedale (Throckmorton to Forrest St) and at the Depot Plaza parking lot.
Traffic signs for roadway detours and direction to parking location and shopping will be posted.
