East Blithedale Project Construction Update - August 26, 2022

East Blithedale Project Logo

Work crews will continue to close East Blithedale Avenue between Camino Alto and Millwood Street to allow for ongoing sanitary sewer work, main waterline replacement, and concrete work, which involves replacing curb ramps, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and driveways. No construction will occur on Labor Day.

Downtown Concrete Rehabilitation

The concrete work taking place Downtown will progress east from Sunnyside Avenue to Grove Street. One-way traffic control is in effect and street parking on East Blithedale Avenue is available opposite the construction.

New Traffic Pattern Reminder

Please note the new traffic pattern at Ashford Avenue, where the “slip lane” is now closed to vehicles and only available for cyclists and emergency services. Westbound vehicles are now required to slow via a right turn lane in advance of the Chevron gas station and then to take a right turn to access Ashford Drive, as shown below. Please watch for pedestrians using the new crosswalk.

What Is Happening This Week: August 29th:

East Blithedale Rehabilitation Phase 2 (between Alta Vista Avenue and Amicita Avenue):
