[ARCHIVED] East Blithedale Construction Update - April 27, 2023

East Blithedale Project Logo

This season's wet weather has presented many challenges throughout Mill Valley and has given our construction team unexpected complications for our East Blithedale Avenue Project. However, we are pleased to report that, even with 13 atmospheric rivers, unseasonably low temperatures, and PG&E crews needing to leave to help with a record number of power outages, the project is still slated to be completed ahead of schedule.

Argonaut Constructors have completed the pavement overlay on Sycamore Avenue and East Blithedale Avenue between Sunnyside Avenue and Carmelita Avenue. Argonaut Constructors will continue to raise utilities to grade and work with PG&E as they complete their adjustments to natural gas services. The project team anticipates that the next stage for paving will continue in mid-May.

We appreciate your patience and continued understanding as we move into the next phase of pavement work. The team understands that paving operations are challenging for the entire community and is pleased to report that they have cut the number of working days by more than half to expedite the project and further minimize impacts.

Yellow Caution Sign

If possible, we urge motorists to avoid East Blithedale Avenue - use Camino Alto and Miller Avenue to avoid the construction area.
