To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and out of concern for the safety of staff as well as the public, effective Monday, March 16, 2020, City Hall will close to the general public and shift to appointment only. City Hall will also open for essential-business public meetings only. This shift to appointment/remote services is in effect until further notice.

The mission of the Department of Public Works is to manage, maintain and operate public facilities and public rights-of-way. Our primary responsibilities include engineering, development reviews, streets, storm drains, street lights, traffic signals, sewage collection and public buildings.
The Slurry Seal Project is part of the City of Mill Valley annual pavement maintenance program to rehabilitate critical infrastructure and prioritize streets for rehabilitation based upon pavement condition and cost-effectiveness.
