The signage upgrade project was a collaboration between the City & the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce who generously offered to allow us to incorporate their striking Mill Valley logo designed by the talented Michael Schwab (creator of the timeless National Parks Service artworks).
“We are just thrilled to share Michael Schwab’s beautiful Mill Valley Logo with the City to honor the Golf Course Centennial" said Co-Director, Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center Paula Reynolds. "Both are beloved by so many in our community.”
This bright new signage replaces the dilapated old brown & white signs that have become so familar to locals. Upgrade of the old golf course signage had been identified by the Parks & Recreation Commission & the Golf Course Subcommittee as a desired improvements, which will help guide visitors to the course. Mill Valley Golf Course celebrates its centennial anniversary this year - 2019.
The Department of Public Work crew purchased the new signage and installed it this past spring at multiple locations throughout Mill Valley to help drive visitors to the golf course.
The new golf course signage can be seen near the Welcome Kiosk as you come into town on East Blithedale (off the Tiburon exit/Tiburon Boulevard), along East Blithedale (near corner of Nelson) and as you turn to go up to the course on Carmelita Avenue (corner of Carmelita and East Blithedale), turn right on Buena Vista Avenue (corner of Buena Vista & Carmelita) & then keep left on Buena Vista Avenue (corner of Manor & Buena Vista) as you drive up to the course.
