Get Fired Up About Fire Prevention with the Outdoor Art Club!

Fire is a four-letter word that strikes fear in our hearts, especially in these volatile times of climate change.

Join members of the Outdoor Art Club and fellow Mill Valley residents at “Getting Fired Up About Fire Prevention,” where Mill Valley Fire Department Chief Tom Welch will present a master class on the state of fire prevention and talk about what the City of Mill Valley is doing to prevent fire from striking our town. Hear about access / evacuation routes, what property owners must do, how some residents are banding together to protect our neighborhoods, and more. This free event will be hosted by the Outdoor Art Club at One West Blithedale Avenue on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM.

With over 28 years of public safety experience as well as a Masters Degree in Fire Service Administration, Chief Welch brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to these issues and is regarded as one of the leading fire chiefs in the North Bay. Chief Welch is also a lead speaker at the upcoming Home Hardening Workshop for Homeowners on November 19, 2019, presented by FireSAFE Marin at the Embassy Suites in San Rafael.
