2020 Annual Pavement Rehabilitation - Notice of Roadway Construction

Maggiora & Ghilotti, Inc began construction on Monday, May 11, 2020. Improvements will include the construction of new curb ramps, grind and replacement of the roadway pavement, pavement subgrade repairs, installation of roadway traffic signs, and restriping.

POJECT FUNDING:

The 2020 Pavement Rehabilitation Project is part of the City’s annual program that focuses on the rehabilitation and maintenance of streets. It is funded through the Municipal Service Tax, Gas Tax, Measure A ½-Cent Sales Tax, and the Road Impact Fees.

 

SCHEDULE:

Construction began on May 11, 2020, and is expected to be completed by the end of August 2020.

Concrete curb ramp improvements and lowering of existing utility covers in the street will be done before paving. Adjusting the utility covers and restriping the road will be completed after paving.

Work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Changes will be posted on the City Website and ton worksite signs.

TRAFFIC CONTROL:

The contractor will provide public notices to property owners in advance of the work.

Full-Width Road Closures will be required during work hours for the paving operations. Roads will be closed to vehicle traffic on grinding and paving days, with limited access to local traffic.

Residents are advised to park outside of the area on paving days. These days will be posted to the city website as the dates are finalized. No Parking Signs will be posted 48 hours in advance of the work and on the City website.

 

EMERGENCY ACCESS:

The work will not affect emergency vehicles. Do not hesitate to call 911 if you require emergency assistance.
