On July 28, 2020, the Planning Commission will consider an amendment to the Design Review Permit for the Depot to allow for revised paint colors and permanent removal of the balloon awning window coverings.

The original Design Review plans approved by the Planning Commission on March 28, 2018 proposed to repaint the building in the same "salmon" exterior color and to replace the exterior balloon window awnings with new awnings of a similar style and color. During construction of the remodel project, the project architect reconsidered the aesthetics and requests Planning Commission approval of new exterior paint colors and to not replace the balloon awnings in order to allow the public full view of the historic arched windows and doors.

The Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for July 28, 2020 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be streamed live via the City’s web site. For questions or to provide comments on this item, contact Lisa Newman, Senior Planner at (415) 388-4033 or
