MLK Day 2021 - 30 Days of Service & Volunteer Opportunities

From the Center for Volunteer and Non-Profit Leadership (CVNL):

"While many see Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a day off, we see it as a 'day on.' It's an opportunity to start your year in the spirit of volunteerism and service, continuing the legacy of Dr. King, who spent his life working to better the lives of others.

CVNL and AmeriCorps/VISTAs are celebrating MLK Day in 2021 as 30 Days of Service from January 18 to February 18, 2021.

CVNL is also coordinating a community service project, "with the goal of giving 500 North Bay children and youth the gift of books to nourish their minds and the gift of snacks to nourish their bodies.

You can support by donating new books for children or youth, pre-packaged/non-perishable snacks, new bookmarks, or a gift certificate to purchase such items. Each bag of gifts will contain approximately $25 worth of books and $10 worth of snacks.

All donations will be distributed to children and youth via local agencies that champion youth literacy and address hunger."
