Southern Marin Fire Protection District Launches New Website

The re-design features easier navigation of topics and even more content!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Southern Marin Fire Protection District is thrilled to announce the launch of its redesigned website, www.smfd.org. The new design and structure of the website make it easier to share events and news with our District residents.

The re-design of the website came just in time for California’s 2021 fire season where the demand for knowledge on emergency evacuation is critical. The site features easier navigation of topics including a “How Do I..” section, easy-to-use online forms, and standardized prevention resources for both Southern Marin Fire District and Mill Valley Fire Department. The website is designed to be a reliable resource while providing visitors relevant information and improving the fire district’s transparency.

“Our goal is to improve the experience and better meet the need of our citizens” said Chris Tubbs, Fire Chief. “The new design radically changes the way information can be found, integrates new technologies designed to leverage the digital environment, and is designed to be platform agnostic”

The new website will be updated regularly with timely updates about our upcoming Board meetings and events, District news, operational updates, disaster preparedness, and community resources. Please visit www.smfd.orgtoday.
