Community Meeting: SASM Pump Station & MUP Connection Improvements

Community Meeting - New Pump Station and Connection Path
Tuesday, January 24, 2017
6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mill Valley City Hall
26 Corte Madera Ave
Mill Valley, CA 94941

SASM will be constructing a new sanitary sewer pump station at 138 Lomita Drive at the Ashford Avenue intersection (SASM’s parcel). The existing pump station is over 35 years old and lacks capacity and reliability. The pump station serves many residents and businesses in Marin County. Construction is scheduled from February 6, 2017 through September 2017. Access through the SASM’s parcel to the Mill Valley – Sausalito Multi-Use Path (MUP) will be closed during construction to help ensure public safety. The MUP will be accessible from Edna Maguire Elementary School and E Blithedale Avenue. SASM is granting an easement through the parcel to the City of Mill Valley for the development of a connection path between the Lomita/Ashford intersection and the MUP. At the community meeting, City staff will present preliminary design ideas and would like to hear your input on existing pedestrian and bicycle needs.
